This is a simple and easy presentation of Norwegian folklore. There are trolls, hulders, goblins, the waterfall grimace and other supernatural beings. They have played a major role in our historical tradition and Norwegian culture. They are considered what we call senses, and are usually invisible to our human eyes, but many have both seen them and heard them. The stories about them in legends and fairy tales can often be a source of wisdom and human knowledge. When the artist here in this book shows us the appearance of these wits, it is probably his subjective view, and of course cannot be taken too solemnly.
